I'm sick of all these Pro-Ana and Pro-Mia communities with their shiny little icons showing girls that perfection is a size 0.
So if they can have their PRO icons and pictures up all over DA, then I can put an ANTI-ana one up. This collage was inspired by the song "Imperfect is the new Perfect" by Caitlin Crosby. Check her myspace here: [link] Info: Pro-Ana and Pro-Mia are Pro-Anorexia and Pro-Bulimia online communities. They claim to not encourage anyone to lead the same lifestyle as they do, but statistics show that these websites influence girls in negative ways. They also have an appealing look, which makes girls want to join the community. STOCK: The background images for this deviation are mostly cut outs from magazines from a really long time ago. The icons are randoms I found on certain ana-mia sites. I don't know if a collage is against the dA policies, and if it is, then I will take it down immediately. |

ok, your general anti-"lets waste away" sort thing.
In the comments i saw the ' pro-ana', ' pro-mia' references which i haven't heard of before. Perhaps I've just been living in a hole.
Well, yeah, i looked at some of the pro-mia, pro-ana stuff around. Bit of a shock really, i didn't realise this kind of stuff existed (possibly naive on my part)
With that sort of thing being promoted, definitely a good message for the other side.
I like your style of art. :3
